Wow – what a difference it makes to have the second person here to help pack. We are almost finished! We got so much done that we’ll be able to take the night off and go out for a little while. Might even catch a show. I’m tired, but it will be nice to have some fun while here, too.
While looking at the shows in town this week, I noticed that they are promoting the new Cher show that comes to Caesar’s Palace in May. We are all going to be here the last week of May for the annual ICSC convention, so I think I’ll go ahead and grab some tickets so we get good seats. Cher tickets Las Vegas
I’ve been a fan of Cher ever since I was a kid and she was singing with Sonny. Yes, I remember 1965 when they had their first hit, “I Got You, Babe.” You might be surprised to find out that their other big, early hit, “Baby Don’t Go,” was originally released as the B-side of a single released the previous year, but since that single was a flop, they re-released the song after “I Got You Babe” reached number 1 on the charts in 1965. That is interesting to me because I personally like the “Baby Don’t Go” song better.
I always thought she was very pretty and I loved her flair for dramatic and cool stage outfits. Her new show in Vegas is supposed to be a spectacular event and I wouldn’t expect anything less of Cher. She has costumes designed by Bob Mackie, 18 dancers and aerialists, and lots of video and special effects.
I can’t wait to see the new Cher show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace!
