Save Money with Coupons

Every time I’m ready to go out shopping and have something specific in mind or a particular store that I want to go to, I check online for coupons first.

Sometimes I just Google the key words and add “discount” or “coupon” to the search, but most of the time I check the one website that is like a clearing house of coupons and discounts, 1-coupons.com.

This site lets me check individual stores when I want to buy electronics or toys for my grandson or even workout gear.

Last time I ordered my computer, I found a discount coupon for 25% off my Dell laptop. Now that’s saving real money!

You can even save on booking travel for hotel stays for your next vacation or weekend getaway and there are discount codes for car rental companies. So unless you’ve got money to burn, you might want to check out the coupon site and save yourself some cash next time you go shopping, too.

Windows Mobile flaws could crash phones

CNET is reporting ” A security firm has found a pair of security bugs in Microsoft’s Windows Mobile which, if exploited, could crash phones and other devices running the software. The vulnerabilities lie in Windows Mobile Internet Explorer and Windows Mobile Pictures and Video. The newest problem allows an attacker to hijack systems running Word 2003, Symantec said in an alert Tuesday. The company has advised people to make sure their security software is up to date and urges caution when opening Word documents. ”

Should be interesting to see how many other bugs this one makes.Still makes me wonder just how vunerable mobile surfers are while roaming the web from thier mobile devices if thier device is not updated with the newest software patches.I beleive many people do not download updates becasue of the air time it takes to recieve them.

Google Web Toolkit

Google Web Toolkit

Google Web Toolkit (GWT) is an open source Java software development framework that makes writing AJAX applications like Google Maps and Gmail easy for developers who don’t speak browser quirks as a second language. Writing dynamic web applications today is a tedious and error-prone process; you spend 90% of your time working around subtle incompatibilities between web browsers and platforms, and JavaScript’s lack of modularity makes sharing, testing, and reusing AJAX components difficult and fragile.

And in my opinon the best tool on earth for begginners to intermediate designers and developers

What are Web Standards?

What are Web Standards?

“The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), along with other groups and standards bodies, has established technologies for creating and interpreting web-based content. These technologies, which we call ‘web standards’, are carefully designed to deliver the greatest benefits to the greatest number of web users while ensuring the long-term viability of any document published on the Web. Designing and building with these standards simplifies and lowers the cost of production, while delivering sites that are accessible to more people and more types of Internet devices. Sites developed along these lines will continue to function correctly as traditional desktop browsers evolve, and as new Internet devices come to market.”
