Ghost Town

This must be one of the prime vacation weeks for the locals because there was almost no traffic here today. I was able to do all my errands in just a little over 2 hours and there were no lines anywhere – not even the bank! What a luxury! It reminds me of how it used to be here only 10 years ago, before all the people from California and Florida starting moving here.

There’s nothing to do in town, either. Absolutely nothing good sports or music-wise. I might have to break down and go to the movie theatre for my entertainment tonight. Or maybe just sit down by the pool and sip on a mojito for a few hours with my iPod. Decisions, decisions.

As part of the American Music Awards, there will be shows by artists at the Ryman that are booked as separate ticketed events. They just announced that Levon Helm will one of those separately ticketed shows, with tickets at $65. I don’t know if the all access pass includes these or not and have to check into it. For an all access pass for the four days of their convention it is only $350. So if that includes all shows I’m going to bite the bullet a buy an all access pass and go to the whole thing. It should be interesting!
