Boycott Absolut Vodka

Have you heard about the ad running for Absolut Vodka in Mexico? Those idiots are promoting the idea that the U.S. should be invaded by Mexico and taken back to the borders from 1830’s before they lost the Mexican-American War in 1848. According to articles in the L.A. Times and the Chicago Tribune, these ads are seen in magazines, newspapers and billboards throughout Mexico.
I do not find anything about this ad amusing or desirable. Illegal immigration is a HUGE problem for America, and the extremists are already warning us that the Mexicans ARE invading this country. This ad can not possibly do any good for Mexican and American relations.
I will NEVER buy Absolut vodka again, and call out to my friends and blog readers to Boycott Absolut Vodka.
My preference has always been for Stoli, and if that is not available then I will drink the cheap call brand before stooping to the level of Absolut. In fact, I would rather drink gin before accepting a glass of Absolut Vodka. No offense to the gin drinkers of the world – it is just on the bottom of my personal list of alcohol preferences. I do drink gin on occasion, but I like the others better.

The official Boycott has begun. FIRE Coalition, the largest, grass-roots organization fighting illegal immigration has launched http://www.AbsolutlyNot.com as part of the http://www.AmericaFirstBoycott.com project. The boycott represents all of the organizations in the coalition and their outrage at Absolut’s ad campaign. Today, they were featured on Neil Cavuto’s Your World on Fox News Channel
