Thinking International

Orlando has got to be right up there in the list of cities that host a lot of international travelers. For years, Europeans would flock to Miami, but I wonder if that is true in today’s world? Maybe it depends upon whether you are bringing your children with you on holiday, or if you are looking for more adult diversions.

Orlando is SOO family friendly. I can’t think of anyplace else in the United States that I would like to bring kids of any age and spend a week away from home and all the troubles that go along with owning a home and raising children.

In the hotel lobby, I waited at the elevator with a young Indonesian family. The kids were totally exhausted, but still very happy to be here. I’m so impressed with the international scope of this city and a very big part of it is thanks to Walt Disney. I have watched a few documentaries about Walt Disney and he was a fascinating man with a fascinating plan.

With Flores (Indonesia)on my mind, I surfed a couple of sites tonight and came across a site to learn more about that part of the world. I also found how to get to flores indonesia and I have made up my mind that before I leave this world I want to take a trip and explore Flores and its natural wonders that sound so very enticing to me right now. It will have to take place after all the kids have grown and I will have so much more time on my hands that I feel traveling will be occupying a lot more of my time.

Electronic Drums

I’m sorry but I really have never heard of electronic drums until I went online at www.musiciansfriend and found some to check out. When the heck did electronic drums come out? Where was I when this happened.? Not that I have a vast knowledge of musical instruments, but I have had a love affair with drums all my life.

I really wish that I had taken drum lessons as a kid. I did take piano lessons for two summers but gave up on that and was not happy with my parents when they told me that I couldn’t change from piano to the drums. I still hold a resentment about that but have kept it to myself all these years.

Love My Gaming And My Music

Since I was a young child, I have always enjoyed playing games on some sort of gaming device, whether it is an Atari, a Nintendo, a Super Nintendo, a Sega Genesis, a Playstation, or even an Xbox. My all time favorite gaming system would have to be the Playstation 3, it is by far the best. It has so many awesome features, and not to mention a wide selection of games to play on or offline. I had no idea I would be using it as much as I do, or I would have bought it as soon as it came out.

I use it to not only play video games, but to watch Blue Ray movies, check my Facebook, have video chats with friends and family, download music, watch Netflix and so much more. I have recently located a great woodwind brasswind retail store that I have written a bit about on Facebook as well. I can’t imagine life without Facebook.

I honestly can not wait to see what Sony has in-store for the upcoming Playstation 4. What can I say other then I love my gaming! And thank the good lord for all the various types music (old and new) that we have access to with just a few short key strokes!

Searching Out New Music

Since I rarely listen to the radio any more, how am I supposed to hear the new music? There are new groups and performers coming out every day. I need a way to hear at least samples of the new music to decide if I like it or not.

Amazon has some – if not most – music with a way to sample 5-10 seconds of a song before decided if you want to buy that single or CD. That is helpful, but i wish there was a way to sample a random selection of music over the internet so we don’t have to rely on corporate radio for our new music.

Schecter Guitars

Some of the Schecter Guitars are some great alternatives to some of the more expensive guitars on today’s market. One of these days I swear I am going to order a guitar online and then take a few lessons to see where I stand when it comes to learning the guitar.

What I don’t want to do is sink a ton of money into something that I am so unsure about, but I don’t want to waste my money on a piece of junk either. I think a nice Schecter guitar just might just work. I love the shape, the color and the price of these sweet looking things. If I’m going to go this route I will want to purchase one of the seymour duncan pearly gates bridges that I hear so much about by some of the musicians that I know and have talked to over the years.

a good quality product

Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Pickup Bridge

Maybe if I get a decent tax refund next year. I really should try harder to start (in a timely fashion) the gathering up all of the paperwork that I need to take over to my step-mother’s house. She does my taxes each year, so far so good. I also love the fact that she does them for free, can’t beet free!
